Using the Pythagorean theroem find the length of leg of a right triangle if the other leg is 8 feet long and the hypotenuse is 10 feet long

    a^2 + b^2 = C^2

    c = hyptonenuse = 10

    a = 8

    so 8^2 = b^2 = 10^

    64=b^2 = 100

    100-64 = b^2

    36 = b^2

    b=6
