Solve the absolute value equation. |7x - 2| + 5 = 3

    Since it is a absolute value equation, you have to use plus of minus. so first, subtract the 5 from the absolute value. you are left with abs (7x-2) = - 2 and make the - 2 plus or minus and solve for both equations. 7x-2=2 and 7x-2=-2

    7x-2+5=37x+-3=3
