    n, n + 2, n + 4 - three consecutive even integers

    3n = 2 (n + 4) + 4 |use distributive property

    3n = (2) (n) + (2) (4) + 4

    3n = 2n + 8 + 4

    3n = 2n + 12 |subtract 2n from both sides

    n = 12

    n + 2 = 12 + 2 = 14

    n + 4 = 12 + 4 = 16

    Answer: 12, 14, 16.
