A fruit salad recipe calls for 3/4 pounds of apples and 2/5 pounds of dates. What is the least common denominator of the fractions

    5 and 4 have no common factors until they are multiplied by each other. So if you were to convert your existing measurements, you would do the following.

    (3/4) x (5/5)

    (2/5) x (4/4)

    Giving you 15/20 and 8/20
