    Multiply 7x+y=-19 by 5 to have the same value of y. Then subtract one from the other.

    35x+5y=-95

    -

    2x+5y=4.

    You get a result of 33x=-99

    X=-3

    Substitute the x into one of the original equations.

    2*-3 + 5y = 4

    5y=4+6

    Y=2
