We have composite shape consisting of two rectangles with dimensions of one rectangle as 20 feet by (10-6) feet and other rectangle as 6 feet by (20-17) feet.

We know the formula for area of rectangle is given as follows : -

Area of Rectangle = Length x Width

    First rectangle's area would be = 20 feet x 4 feet = 80 square feet.

    Second rectangle's area would be = 6 feet x 3 feet = 18 square feet.

Area of the room = First rectangle's area + Second rectangle's area.

    Area of the room = 80 + 18 = 98 square feet.

Hence, final answer is 98 square feet.
