    3x + 6 = 5x - 4

    10 = 2x (10/2 = 5 (2x/2 cancels out)

    5 = x

    Therefore our answer is option B

    3x + 6 = 5x - 4

    3x - 5x = - 4-6

    -2x = - 10

    x=5

    Thus, the answer is B, 5

    *you can cancel out the negatives as they are common (2nd last number statement)
