    number of vegetables for each person are as follows;

    Sejuan - 2

    Liz - 3

    Sean has thrice as much as Sejuan and liz combined

    to find how much Sejuan and liz have in total;

    first we need to carry out addition

    thats 2+3 = 5 vegetables they both have combined

    next we know sean has thrice as much as they have combined,

    next operation is multiplication

    we have to multiply 5 by 3 = 5*3

    therefore sean has 15 vegetables

    the correct answer is addition then multiplication can be used to solve the problem
