What is the area of the figure bounded by the lines: x=0; x=π/2; y=sin (x); y=1?

    In fact we have to calculate the integral between x=0 & x=π/2

    ∫sinx. dx with 0< = x< = π/2

    ∫sinx. dx = - cosx + c==> - cos (π/2) - [ - cos (0) ] = = > 0 - (-1) = = > 1

    So the area = 1 unit
