    When you say "cup" I'm assuming you mean the measuring cup, not the measuring notation thing.

    We know 8 oz is equal to 0.25 quarts. So that means you need 32 oz to equal 1 quart.

    32 * 6 = 192 ounces to get to 6 quarts.

    Divide 192 by 8: 192 / 8 = 24.
