If the radius of a circle is 3.5 inches, its diameter is inches and its approximate area is square inches

    diameter is radius x 2

    3.5 x 2 = 7 inches

    Area = PI x r^2

    using 3.14 for PI

    area = 3.14 x 3.5^2 = 3.14 x 12.25 = 38.465 square inches round answer as needed
