33 - 28 = 5
38 - 33 = 5
48 - 38 = 10
(5 - 5 - 10 - 10 - 20 - 20 - 40 - 40 - 80 - ...) this could be it but there are many different answers!
48 + 10 = 58
58 + 20 = 78
78 + 20 = 98
98 + 40 = 138
138 + 40 = 178
the 8th term would be 178. But again, there are many ways to solve this and there are many answers you can give!
