A recipe calls for 17 oz of flour for every 1010 oz of milk. Let x be the amount of milk used. Let y be the amount of flour used. Express the relationship with an equation. Is the relationship between x and y proportional? If you use 2020 oz of milk, how much flour should you use?

    17y = 1010x.

    The relationship is proportional, as if you increase one you increase the other.

    2020 is twice 1010, so you use 2 * 17, which is 34oz.
