The formula for determining how long a hike will take is t=12 (d+h), where d is the distance in miles and h is the elevation gain in thousands of feet. Solve for h.

    I don't know if it's right by I am going to try.

    T=12d+12h

    12*1=12 miles

    5280ft is in one mile so h is 5280*12

    63360 = h
