What is f (2) if the linearization of f (x) at a = 2 is l (x) = 12x + 4?

    The linearization at f (a) is

    ... l (x) ≈ f (a) + f' (a) * (x - a)

    Then

    ... l (a) = f (a)

    f (2) = l (2) = 12*2 + 4

    f (2) = 28
