    Price 30% lower than $2075 = 70% of $2075

    1) 70% of $2075?

    2) convert 70% into a decimal (0.70)

    3) multiply $2075 by 0.70

    4) $1452.00

    5) The price the travel agent found was $1452.50

30% lower means it is 100-30 = 70% of the original price.

    So the answer is (2075 * 70) / 100 = $1452.50
