The area of a triangular block is 25 square inches. If the base of the triangle is twice the height, how long are the base and the height of the triangle?

    Area of a triangle = 1/2 * base * height

    So here we have

    25 = 1/2 * b * h

    b = 2h so

    25 = 1/2 * 2h * h

    25 = h^2

    h = 5

    Answer : height = 5 inches and the base = 10 inches.
