A fish tank has a base of 45cm2 and is filled with water to the depth of 12cm. if the height of the tank is 25cm, how much more water will be needed to fill the tank to the brim?

    Volume = base area x height.

    Required amount of water = volume of tank - amount of water currently in the tank. = (45 x 25) - (45 x 12) = 45 (25 - 12) = 45 x 13 = 598 cm^3
