What is the equation of a line that crosses the y axis at (0,-3) and has a slope of 4?

    Hi dear,

    use this formula:

    y - y1 = m (x-x1)

    Y1 = - 3

    X1 = 0

    m = 4

    y - (-3) = 4 (x-0)

    y+3=4x

    y=4x-3
