Negative 5 subtracting a negative 7 equals what?

    Negative 12 because u can't subtract a negative from a negative so it will become add. For example: (backward is like negative) u walk back 5 steps, and then you walk back another 7 steps, how many steps did u walk back. So it's add. The answer is negative 12

    -5 - (-7) = 2, because she two minus symbols are next to each other (wit the minus-7) they cancel each other out, so this is basically - 5+7, which is 2.
