First of all we need to find the least common denominator (LCD) to be able to add the fractions; the LCD if the fractions is 8.
so now you could add your numerators cause you have like denominators;
5/8 + 2/8 = 7/8
Your final answer is: 7/8 (it can't simplify any further)
