What is the solution to the following equation?

5 (2x - 6) + 20 = 10

    First you distribute the five making it 10x-30+20=10

    second you combine like terms making it 10x-10=10

    third you isolate the variable making it 10x=20

    Finally you divide both terms by ten giving you x=2 as your answer.
