A six sided die has a 1 in 6 probability of rolling any number.

Out of the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, two numbers, 5 and 6, are greater than four.

This mean that out of six possibilities, two will be greater than four, so there is a 2 in 6 probability of rolling a number higher than 4. This can be simplified to 1 in 3.

The probability of rolling a number greater than four on a six sided die is 1 in 3, or 1/3
