    Standard form of polynomials means that the expression is written in an ordered way such that the highest order is written in the beginning and the least order is at the end.

    Standard form of a third degree polynomial will be expressed as follows:

    y = ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d where a, b, c and d are coefficients.

    Example of a standard third degree polynomial:

    y = 5x^3 + 23x^2 - 7x + 14
