Figure A has a radius of 2 inches. It is dilated by a scale factor of 4 to form figure B. What is the radius of figure B?

    Given that figure A with radius of 2 inches is dilated to form figure B, the radius of B will be given by:

    Radius B = (radius A) * (scale factor)

    but

    scale factor=4

    thus

    Radius of B will be:

    2*4

    =8 inches
