You and a friend go out to dinner and each pay for your own meal. the total cost of the two meals is $25. your meal cost $4 more than your friends meal. how much does each meal cost?

    Two meals=$25

    let my friends meal be $X,

    so my meal is $X+5

    both meals costs (X+5) + X=25

    2X+5=25

    2X=20

    X=10

    My friends meal costs $10

    and my meal costs 10 + 5 = $15
