    original price multiplied by x = sale price

    x = sale price/original price

    x = 0.1452

    this means that we are finding 14.52% of $125. but we need the discount so. 1 - 0.1452 or 100% - 14.52% = 0.8548 or 85.48%

    so the discount is 85.48%
