    Hence the probability of getting 2 spades will be 1/16

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given:

    Two deck if playing cards

    To Find:

    Probability that will get two spades

    Solution:

    As we know that, there 52 playing cards in a deck

    and 13 of that are spades

    So probability of getting spade from a deck is,

    P (spades) = total number of spades / Total number of cards.

    P=13/52

    P=1/4

    Similar for the second deck of card,

    Required probability is that, getting spades from each deck

    It is given by,

    Required probability = Probability of spades in 1st AND Probability of spade in 2nd deck

    As there is use of AND operator there should multiplication of two events,

    Required probability = 1/4*1/4

    =1/16
