    To calculate the distance travelled, we have to use the equations of motion: V = U + f*t and S = U*t + (1/2) * f*t*t where u and v are initial and final velocities, f the acceleration and t is time taken. Here u = 0 as the car starts from rest, V = 75 km/hr and t = 30 sec. Converting V to meter / sec and substituting in above equations, we get f = (25/36) = 0.6944m / sec * sec. Putting this in 2nd equation distance S = 312.5 meters or 0.3125 km.
