Which expressions are equivalent to this expression?

4r + 4

    Hey

    In Algebra you can add like terms but can’t add or subtract unlike terms. What this means is you can add 1a to 4a but you can’t add 1a to 4.

    Think if it like this:you can add 3 cars to 4 cars but you can’t add 3 cars to 4 trucks OK?

    So for A we can add the terms and find we have an anwer if 4Runner+4.

    For 2 to multiply out the brackets you must multiply the term before the bracket with the term in the brackets.

    So you have to multiply 2 with 2r and 2 with 2. Which gets us 4R + 4.

    For 3 same thing add them to get 4R + 4.

    But for D. When you multiply out the brackets you get 4R+16.

    So the answer is A, B, C
