A triangle is 6 inches long and 8 inches tall. If you double its dimensions, what would be the area of the new triangle?

    Doubling the dimensions gives us a 12 by 16 triangle. 12 X 18 = 216. because it's a triangle we need to divide it by 2. 216 / 2 = 108.

    the answer is 108 inches squared
