Least amount they would spend is $40

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given:

Jodie bought some shirts for $6 each

Marge Bought some shirts for $8 each

    To Find:

Least Money they spent = ?

    Solution:

Least money they would spent would be the LCM of the values which means that the least common multiple of the values

so for finding the LCM we will make prime factors of both values we have

    Now

    Factors of 6 = 2 * 3

    Factors of 8 = 2*2*2

    Common Factor = 2

    Remaining factors = 3,2,2

    Now

LCM = Common factor * remaining factor

    So

    LCM = 2*3*2*2

    = 40

    SO their LCM is 40

Which means that least value they would spend would be $40
