What is (x+3) (2x-4) in the form of ax²+bx+c?

    first = x*2x = 2x^2

    outer = x*-4 = - 4x

    inner = 3 * 2x = 6x

    last = 3 * (-4) = - 12

    add together

    2x^2 - 4x+6x-12

    2x^2 + 2x-12
