Ty is reading a book that is 456 pages. In the last 11 days, he has read 264 pages. If Ty continues to read at the same rate, write an equation that represents the relationship between the number of pages, p, Ty reads over time, t.

At this same rate, how many more days will it take him to finish the book?

    Divide 264 by 11 and then divide 456 by that number

    T = (264/11) = 24

    p=264+X*t

    456=264+X*24

    X=8

    Everyday he reads 24 pages and it will take 8 days to finish the book
