    40%

    Step-by-step explanation:

I like us to understand that's:

Percentage Decrease is a reduction of a given part out of a total of hundred.

Actual Square Feet of Jane's Closet:

    = 64 Square Feet

Recent Square feet of Jane's new Closet:

    = 38.4 Square Feet

Decrease in Square feet from both Square Feet:

    = 64 - 38.4

    = 25.6 Square Feet.

    Therefore:

    Percentage Decrease is expressed as:

    = Decrease / Actual * 100

    = 25.6 / 64 * 100

    = 2560 / 64

    = 40 %

It therefore means that the percentage decrease of Jane's closet space is 40%
