When you say a mile and a quarter, I'm going to assume that this means one mile and a quarter mile which can also be written as 1 1/4 miles. To make things easier, we'll look for how many meters 1 1/4 miles are then convert to kilometers later. One mile is basically just 1609.344 meters and a 1/4 mile or a quarter mile is 403.2 meters. So if we add the two, we will get the equivalent of 1 1/4 miles in meters which is 2012.544 meters. To get the Km, we just move the decimal places three times to the left. So the final answer we will get is 2.012544 kilometers
