Every decimal number and all integers can be written as a fraction number. For example, if we take 2 an integer, so it is equivalent to 2/1 a fraction and 3.1 is 31/10. As for the decimal number the main formula is as follow: Just compute the number which is put after the dot, and make is number as a 1 tens, 2tens, 3tens and so on. In our case, 0.5 has exactly 1 number after the dot, so it is equivalent to 0.5=5/10, and 0.10=0.1=1/10, finally the answer of question is 0.5 + 0.10 = 5/10+1/10=5+1 / 10=6/10=3/5
