    Assuming that the balls are perfect sphere, then we can use the formula for the volume of the sphere to solve the volume of the ball. the volume of a spher is given by the formula:

    V = (4/3) pi r^3

    where pi = 3.1416

    r is the radius

    since D = 9 in

    r = 4.5 in

    V = (4/3) (3.1416) (4.5) ^3

    V = 381.7 cubic inches is the volume of one of the balls.
