Estimate a 15% tip on a dinner bill of $87.33 by first rounding the bill amount to the nearest ten dollars.

    There would be a 13 dollar tip if you round it. If you didn't it would be 13.05.

    First you would turn the percent into a decimal. You would do this by moving the decimal place to the left 2 places. Then, multiply that by your amount.

    So when ever you have a percentage you would want to multiply in this case so 87.33 times. 15 would be to two nearest ten dollars is 13 dollars
