The measure of an angle is 8 degrees less than three times the measure another angle. If the two angles are supplementary, what is the measure of the larger angle?

    Small angle - x

    large angle - 3x-8

    supplementary = sum of this angles = 180

    x+3x-8=180

    4x-8=180

    4x=188

    x=47

    large angle 3x-8=3*47-8 = 133°

    check: 133+47=180
