Neal buys a board game. He pays for the board game and pays a dollar $1.54 in sales tax. The sales tax rate is 5.5%. What is the original price of the board game, before tax?

    The original price would be 8.47 (I think) 8.47 divided by 5.5 is 1.54. Or, 1.54 times 5.5 is 8.47.
