    Area of circle = pi times radius^2

    diameter=2 times radius

    radius=diameter/2

    diameter=12

    radius=12/2

    radius=6

    pi times r&+^2

    pi times 6^2

    pi times 36

    aprox pi=3.14

    113.04 in^2
