    Ok so

    red+white=7.8

    r+w=7.8

    red=2 times cost of white

    r=2w

    therefor subsitute 2w for r

    2w+w=7.8

    3w=7.8

    divid both isdes by 3

    w=2.6

    subsitute

    r=2w

    r=2 (2.6)

    r=5.2

    $2.60 for white

    $5.20 for red
