The water level in a swimming pool decreases from 60in to 58.25in in one week. Assuming that the water level changes at a constant rate, how much did the water level decrease each day?

    60-58.25 = 1.75 ... 1.75 divided by 7 (days in a week) = 0.25 inches per day
