X is less than or equal to 2.

    3x - 6 + 2 ≥ 5x - 8

    Subtract 3x from both sides.

    -6 + 2 ≥ 2x - 8

    Combine like terms.

    -4 ≥ 2x - 8

    Add 8 to both sides.

    4 ≥ 2x

    Divide both sides by 2.

    x ≤ 2
