2. A cab charges $1.75 for the first mile $0.25 for each additional mile. Write and solve an inequality to determine how many miles eddie can travel if he has $15

C. $0.25 + $1.75x < $15; x< 8 miles

D.$0.25 + $1.75x > $15; x > 8 miles

    1) Price for one bag is 3.79

    price for x bags is x*3.79

    since he has 15 dollars budget the inequality is:

    3.79*x ≤ 15

    2) the inequality is 1.75 + 0.25*x < 15 because every mile after first one costs 0.25. X miles after first one cost x*0.25 so we have to sum that price with price of first mile and that sum needs to be less than money that eddie has.

    x < 53
