At a school, 40% of the sixth-grade students said hip-hop is their favorite kind of music. If 100 sixth-grade students prefer hip-hop music, how many sixth-grade students are at the school?

There are 250 students because if you divide 100 by 40% you convert the 40% into a decimal which you would have 0.4 and when you divide you get 250 students
