Are the expressions 3 (m - 2) + 2 (m - 2) and 5 (m - 2) equivalent expressions?

    3 (m - 2) + 2 (m - 2) equals 5m-10 and 5 (m-2) equals 5m-10 so yes they are equivalent expressions.
