    So first is 4

    1st=4

    2nd=8

    3rd=16

    it seems that they are not just multiplied by 2

    therefor there is an exponent

    we notice that

    4=2^2

    8=2^3

    16=2^4

    therefor

    the formula is

    nth term=2^ (n+1)
