    Set up a proportion:

    6/20 = x/90

    Meaning 6 saved over 20 and x saved over 90

    Cross multiply

    540 = 20x

    x = 27

    He saved $27

    He saves $6 out of every $20 - 90/20 = 4.5

    And 4.5 x 6 = 27
